Convert Markdown to a clean PDF

Open or paste your Markdown in MarkdownPaper, choose Print, then select “Save as PDF” in the system print dialog. The print layout removes reader controls, uses page margins, and keeps the document, not the surrounding app, as the thing being exported.

A practical Markdown-to-PDF workflow

1. Open the document in the online Markdown viewer.
2. Check wide tables, code blocks, equations, and diagrams on screen.
3. Use Cmd/Ctrl P or the Print control.
4. Select Save as PDF and review the page preview before saving.

Browser print dialogs vary by operating system. For the most consistent result, leave scale at 100%, disable browser-added headers and footers, and use the default page margins supplied by MarkdownPaper before making manual changes.

What should survive the export

A useful Markdown PDF is more than black text on white paper. Table alignment, syntax highlighting, footnote placement, KaTeX equations, Mermaid diagrams, code overflow, and headings near page boundaries all need deliberate print styles.
