September 2026: web first, desktop in the stores

• The homepage leads with the free web reader: one filled button to open a file, a second to paste, and the sample in the line beneath them.
• The desktop app is now a paid app for Mac and Windows, planned for the Mac App Store and the Microsoft Store. The homepage and the desktop page say coming soon until each listing is live.
• The landing page now offers a control to show its own Markdown source.
• Added a Markdown preview page that opens a document in the split view, with the source beside a live page.

September 2026: landing and search foundation

• Rewrote the homepage around the concrete outcome: raw Markdown becomes a finished, readable page.
• Moved the file action fully into the hero and added an explicit Paste text path for touch and keyboard users.
• Replaced generic desktop launch copy with configurable platform downloads that change when each store listing goes live.
• Added task-focused guides for viewing Markdown, opening .md files, exporting PDF, reading README files, AI-generated Markdown, and rich-text copy.
• Added dedicated privacy, about, desktop, changelog, and rendering-test pages with route-specific metadata and sitemap entries.

Earlier foundation

• Added GitHub Flavored Markdown, footnotes, syntax highlighting, KaTeX math, Mermaid diagrams, task lists, and sanitized raw HTML rendering.
• Added local browser storage, offline application support, a reading library, paper stocks, adjustable measure and text size, and print styling.
• Added focused and split editing layouts, rich-text selection copy, share links, public URL import, and desktop folder and file-watching support.
